Viola M. Keisel, 82, of Ashtabula, OH, formerly of Cochranton, died Wednesday, May 18, 1988, at Jefferson Geriatric and Rehabilitation Center, Jefferson, following an illness of two months.
She was born in Cochranton, June 28, 1905, a daughter of Homer and Lena Graham Messeral. She married Arthur G. Keisel, who preceded her in death.
She was a registered nurse at the former Spencer Hospital. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of the Lakes, Orlando, FL, and a former member of the First Presbyterian Church in Meadville. She was a 1929 graduate of Spencer Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of Thiel Woman's Club for Greenville.
Survivors include two sons, Glenn L. Keisel of Ashtabula and Jack A. Keisel of Oak Hill, FL; a brother, Arden Messerall of Cochranton; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Arthur M. Keisel; two sisters, Minnie Messerall and Mabel Eastman and six brothers, George, Wade, Fred, Melvin, Elmer and Burt Messerall.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
