Violet M. Krider

April 13, 1916 — July 15, 1998

Violet M. Krider, 82, formerly of Meadville and currently residing at the home of her daughter in Edinboro, died there, Wednesday, July 15, 1998.

She was born April 13, 1916 in Wampum, a daughter of the late Robert and Elsie Mae Stein Curtis.  She married George Wiltrout.  He preceded her in death in 1953.  She subsequently married Rodney E. Krider September 20, 1975.  He preceded her in death December 14, 1992.

Mrs. Krider worked for many years at the former G. C. Murphy Co.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed bowling, bingo and traveling.  She was a member of Vernon Central VFD.

She was a former member of Stone United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, John Wiltrout (Nancy) of Meadville and Willard Wiltrout (Glenyce) of Osceola, AZ; two daughters, Frances Dunn of Meadville and Shirley Soth of Edinboro; two step sons, Duane A. Krider (Linda) of Erie and Donald M. Krider of Fort Worth, TX; seventeen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret J. (Peg) Yoder; five brothers, Robert, Harold, Kenneth, David and James Curtis; and four sisters, Sarah Knight, Lizzia Ashton, Irene Reynolds and Thelma Lucas.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
