Violet Payne Turner

Violet Payne Turner, 73, of Meadville, PA died August 27, 1996 at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born May 22, 1923 in St. John's, daughter of the late Norman and Elizabeth Russell Payne.  She married Omer Eugene Turner in 1944.  He died in November 1970.

Survivors include four sons, David, Dan, Douglas and Dale Turner; five daughters, Elizabeth Holmes, Linda Litten, Janice Wilcox and Lois and Margaret Turner; one brother, Edward Payne; two sisters, Ethel Payne and Alice Payne of Mt. Pearl; fifteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Carol Turner and one brother, Cyril Payne.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Ewing Cemetery.
