Virgil V. Mcconnell

Virgil V. (Sue) McConnell, 89, a resident of the Crawford Co. Care Center, Saegertown and formerly of Waterville, died Tuesday, October 6, 1998 at Meadville Medical Center following a period of declining health. She was born May 22, 1909 in New Castle, a daughter of the late John and Sergie Enick Hughes. She married Frederick M. McConnell in 1930. He preceded her in death July 8, 1996. Mrs. McConnell worked as a Secretary for the James F. Kemp Roofing and Heating Co. of Clairton. She especially enjoyed taking care of her family. Survivors include a son, Fred J. McConnell of Linesville; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Madelaine Mars and Esther Hughes. Services were held at Waid Funeral Home. Interment was in Roundhill Cemetery. Services Past Services
