Virgina L. Berly

Virginia L. Berly, 87, formerly of Liberty St. Ext., Meadville, died at the Crawford County Care Center, Friday August 1, 2008.

She was born in Meadville, August 17, 1920, a daughter of Conrad A. and Jennie Laibe Lippert.  She married Ernest G. Berly Sept. 24, 1941, and he preceded her in death Feb. 4, 2007.

Virginia had worked for 5 years at the former American Viscose Corporation, and then as bookkeeper in the family business, Berly’s Refrigeration, for 40 years, retiring in 1983.

She was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church

She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and working cross word puzzles.

Survivors include 2 sons, Wayne Berly and his wife Judy of Aurora, CO and John Berly and his wife Kim of Meadville; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer LaRochelle, Lori Lacy, and Adrienne Vittorio; 5 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Cecilia Mailliard and Aurelia Brunot both of Meadville and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Edward, Walter and Wilford Lippert and 1 sister Florence Porter.

Following cremation, a memorial mass will beheld at St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church at a date and time to be announced, with burial in St. Agatha cemetery.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
