Virginia A. Kirkpatrick

Virginia A. Kirkpatrick, 66, of Meadville, widow of Paul Kirkpatrick, died Friday, October 5, 1979, at City Hospital following a nine-month illness.

She was born in Meadville, December 22, 1912, a daughter of Edward D. and Bertha Christian Miles.  She married Paul Kirkpatrick in 1953.

She was employed as a clerk at J. C. Penney Co., was employed at Keystone View Co. and Talon Division of Textron before becoming an office secretary for Arthur F. Schultz Co. in Meadville.  For 23 years, she held the position of office secretary in the office of superintendent of building and grounds at Allegheny College, retiring in June of this year.

She is survived by two sisters, Miss Helen Miles of Meadville and Mrs. Vernon (Eleanor) Joiner of Baltimore, MD and two nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
