Virginia A. Manross

Virginia A. Manross, 83, of Meadville and a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community, died there, Sunday, January 04, 2015.

She was born February 2, 1931 in Oil City a daughter of Joseph and Katherine Stepien Olszowka.  She married Gerald E. Manross May 9, 1953 and he survives.

At one time, she worked at the Keystone View Co.  She enjoyed reading and gardening and in her younger years also enjoyed bowling and swimming.

Survivors, in addition to her husband Gerald of 61 years, include: a son, Gary Manross and his wife Terry of Meadville; a daughter, Karen Bortner and her husband Brad of Meadville; three grandchildren, Jessica Babbitt, Diana Besoiu and Megan Bortner; a grandson, Jacob Bortner; two great granddaughters, Olivia and Emma and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

A private family service will be held at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville with Rev. Philip Torre, officiating.

Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery.
