Virginia K. (Kelly) Allen

Virginia K. Allen, 81, North St., Meadville, died at Meadville Medical Center on Wednesday, November 9, 1988, following a sudden illness.

She was born in Fountain City, IN, on August 18, 1907, a daughter of Benjamin W. and Olive Harrison Kelly.  She married Charles H. Allen on February 10, 1933.  He preceded her in death on May 11, 1978.

Mrs. Allen was retired from Montgomery Ward Company after 34 years of employment.  She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church, the Tuesday Morning Music Club, the Thursday Afternoon Quilting Club, the Friends of RSVP.  She was a former member of Allegheny Civic Symphony and a former director of RSVP Kitchen Band.

Survivors include two daughters, Norma Schlosser of Dayton, OH and Jane Pitzer of Meadville; a sister, June Palmer of Evansville, IN; two grandchildren and two nephews.

Services were held at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home with Rev. William Brown of Wesbury, officiating.

Interment was in Spring Cemetery, Springboro.
