Virginia F. Coutler

Mrs. Virgina F. Coutler, 77, of Meadville, formerly of Pittsburgh, widow of Newlon F. Coutler, died Thursday, February 2, 1978, at City Hospital after a 10-week illness.

She was born at Peel Tree, WV, August 17, 1900, daughter of James H. and Flora Barlett Hodges.  She married Coutler June 4, 1926.  He died in 1939.  She was employed at Galbreath Machinery Co., Pittsburgh, as a bookkeeper, retiring in 1968.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. P. Kenneth (Jeanne) Pfalzgraf of Meadville; two grandchildren, Susan and Richard; and several nieces and nephews.  She was precede in death by a sister and two brothers.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Allegheny County Memorial Park.
