Virginia I. Kareha

Virginia I. Kareha, 81, of Meadville, died Saturday, May 31, 1997 at Meadville Medical Center following an extended illness.

She was born January 23, 1916 in Meadville, a daughter of the late Ned and Burnell Miller Homes.  She married Lawrence Malley.  He preceded in her in death in 1967.  She subsequently married George E. Kareha July 11, 1970.  He survives.

Mrs. Kareha was a graduate of Meadville High School.  She worked at the former We Folks and Teen Shop for several years and then later at the former Crawford Store as a clerk.  She was also a homemaker.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include one son, John Malley of Parma, OH and one sister, Valerie Speros of Detroit, MI.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Bedow.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in St. Brigid Cemetery.
