Virginia L. Rider

Virginia L. Rider, 78, of Meadville, a former office accountant, died Wednesday, June 23, 1993, at Rolling Fields Nursing Home in Conneautville following a period of failing health.

She was born in Meadville, March 28, 1915, a daughter of Anthony H. and Pearl Conrad Emig.  She married Keith Rider.  He preceded her in death.

She was employed as an office accountant for Farmers Supply Co. in Meadville, then for Rodney DeVore Construction and for the David Mead Inn.  She was a tournament bridge player both regionally and locally.

Survivors include an uncle, Leonard Conrad of Avon Park, FL and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Gaylord Emig and an infant sister, Audrey Emig.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
