Virginia M. Nageotte

Virginia M. Nageotte, 84, Meadville died Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at Wesbury United Methodist Community.

She was born in Monongahela August 5, 1922 a daughter of the late John R. and Sarah A. Reese Potts.  She married Carl L. Nageotte June 28, 1941 and he survives.

She worked as a waitress most of her life, working at the Taylor Hose, Eagles Aerie 429 and the Kepler Hotel.  She was also a homemaker and had worked for 10 years as a clerk at W. T. Grant Co.

She attended Bethany United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, spending time with her grandchildren and her pets, especially Mickey and Molli, and loved the holidays and cooking for her family.

Survivors, in addition to her husband Carl of 65 years, include one daughter, Sue E. Roschi and her husband Wayne and two sons, Larry S. Nageotte, Sr. and his wife Barbara and Jerry R. Nageotte and his wife Denise, all of Meadville; six grandchildren, Larry Nageotte and his wife Lisa of Davidson, NC; Michael Nageotte and his wife Jeunesse of Meadville; Christopher Martin and his wife Christina of Titusville, FL; twins Ashley Nageotte of Cortland, NY and Michael Nageotte serving in Iraq; and Lindsey Nageotte of Cortland, NY; eight great-grandchildren, Emily, Caroline, Kacey, Payton and Madison Nageotte and Logan, Brock, and Zachary Martin; two brothers, John Potts of Norrisville and Ray Potts and his wife Ellie of Meadville; a sister-in-law, Ethel Potts of Florida; dear friends, Winan and Jerry Hart of Meadville and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Potts.

Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.

A funeral service will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. John Bargar officiating.

Interment will be in Venango Cemetery.
