Virginia M. Simpson

Virginia M. Simpson, 73, of Meadville, died Tuesday, September 15, 1987, at Meadville Medical Center following a short illness.

Mrs. Simpson was born in Youngstown, OH, January 13, 1914, a daughter of Frank and Katherine Shannon Whitman.  She married Arthur M. Simpson February 17, 1934.  He survives.

She had been employed at the former W. T. Grant Co., Meadville.  She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church and Golden Crown Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, Meadville.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three daughters, Polly J. Shilling of Meadville, Mrs. John (Susanne) Holcapgel of Reynoldsburg, OH and Katherine M. Simpson of Meadville; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
