Virginia Mae Rogers

October 4, 1932 — May 23, 1979

Mrs. Virginia Mae Rogers, 46, of Meadville, wife of George E. Rogers, died of shotgun wounds Wednesday, May 23, 1979, at Spencer Hospital.  Deputy Coroner of Crawford County Dr. Robert Challener, ruled that death was by homicide.

Mrs. Rogers was born in Meadville October 4, 1932, a daughter of Eugene C. and Frances M. Kahler Brawley.  She married Rogers on November 11, 1950.

She was a member of the Norrisville United Methodist Church and was a former church organist.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Laurel) Johnson of Texarkana, AK; two sons, Timothy G. of Meadville and Blair E. of Saegertown; two brothers, Francis E. Brawley of Venango and Donald E. Brawley of Guys Mills; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
