Virginia May Ingraham Seiler, 93, formerly of Woodcock Twp. and a resident of the Crawford County Care Center, died there Wednesday, January 4, 2017. She was born in Townville, PA May 18, 1923 a daughter of Ray and Helen Blair Ingraham. She married Lowell (Bud) Seiler June 23, 1967 and he preceded her in death April 22, 1990. She was a graduate of Edinboro University and was a librarian and school teacher in the Harborcreek School District retiring in June 1969 after 23 years of service. She previously had taught for 2 years in Hydetown. She worked alongside her husband in running their successful "Seiler Farm Equipment" business in Blooming Valley for many years, and was active with him in the dealership association. She was a member of the Townville Baptist Church, the Wayland Baptist Church and the Meadville Bird and Tree Club. In her youth, she was a proud member of her local 4H. Throughout her lifetime, she also devoted much time and energy to local charitable organizations. Virginia was an avid reader and gardener. She was highly skilled in sewing, knitting, and crochet, and made and donated countless items. She loved to travel, and had visited nearly every state in the continental U.S. She spent summers at her much loved cottage on Lake Chautauqua, where she could be found sailing, fishing or just enjoying Gods gifts in nature. She passed on her love of nature, gardening, sewing, knitting and crocheting to those who will miss their beloved "Gini", "Aunt Gini", and "Gram". She is survived by her sister-in-law, step-daughter and granddaughter and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell Ingraham and Raymond Ingraham Following her wishes, there will be no memorial service.
