Vivian K. Perkins, 88, of Conneaut Lake, died Thursday, May 21, 2015 at St. Mary’s East, Erie.
She was born August 19, 1926 in Clymer, NY, a daughter of Delbert J. and Helen Ayers King. She married Marvin L. (Perk) Perkins, Sr. April 24, 1948 and he preceded her in death December 11, 2002.
Vivian was a 1944 graduate of Clymer Central High School and following graduation was employed at the Post Office in Clymer. She subsequently worked as a bookkeeper for Agway Supply Center, Meadville for 25 years.
Vivian was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Conneaut Lake where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and was a former Sunday School teacher and church treasurer.
Vivian enjoyed reading, crocheting, sewing, doing word puzzles, traveling with her husband and especially spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include two daughters, Bettylou Perkins of Erie and Lauralee Watlock and her husband Mark of Charlottesville, VA; a son, Marvin (Chip) Perkins, Jr. and his wife Jody of Jamestown, NY; three grandchildren, Jacob Perkins of Charlottesville, VA, Alexandra Perkins of Jamestown, NY, and Lucas Raak of Jamestown, NY; two sisters, Carolyn Damcott of Westfield, NY and Ava Woodworth of Chesterland, OH; a sister-in-law, Jane Nagel of Panama, NY; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Gerald, Carlton, Maynard and an infant, Kenneth King and a sister, Velma Bailey.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, 12422 Conneaut Lake Rd., Conneaut Lake.
The funeral service will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 240 N. Third St., Conneaut Lake with the Revs. Jay Sterling and Dave Brumagin officiating. Calling hour from 10 to 11 a.m. will precede the service.
Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
