Walter L. Miller

Walter L. (Pappy) Miller, 72, of Meadville, died at home Friday, December 29, 1989, after an extended illness. He was born in Bulger, Washington County, February 20, 1917, a son of Joseph and Nellie Kirk Miller. He married Florence Horak on June 17, 1939. She survives. He was employed as a mechanical fitter at Seco/Warwick Corp., retiring in 1982. He was formerly employed by Sunbeam Equipment Co. and previous to that, at the furnace division of Westinghouse Corp. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, and a life member of Vernon Volunteer Fire Department, and Vallonia Old Timers' Assn. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Daniel W. Miller of Meadville and Thomas W. Miller of Linesville; a brother, George Miller of Meadville; three grandchildren and four step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Granat. Services were held at Waid Funeral Home. Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Services Past Services
