Wanda Lee Highhouse, 79, formerly of Conneaut Lake, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Rolling Fields, Conneautville.
She was born February 26, 1934 in Warren, a daughter of Stewart and Martha Goetz Highhouse.
Wanda worked for the G.C. Murphy Company in Meadville for several years and subsequently was employed by Singer-Heatrex in Meadville for 10 years.
She was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church and enjoyed reading, painting, dancing, and doing crossword puzzles.
Survivors include a daughter, Frances Ann Highhouse of Tampa, FL; a son, James Marhoefer of Saegertown; a twin brother, Stewart James Highhouse, Jr. of Bellflower, CA; a sister, Linda Bervinkle and her husband William of Ocala, FL; six grandchildren, Amber and Bobby Hicks of Florida and Amanda, Elona, Shaunna, and Jimmy Marhoefer of Pennsylvania; a great-grandson, Jonathen Ray Crespo of Florida; an aunt who she thought of like a sister, Phyllis Amolsch of Conneaut Lake; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, including her grandmother, Irene Goetz of Conneaut Lake.
The family will receive guests on Saturday, May 25, 2013 from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at St. Agatha Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville where a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Johnathan P. Schmolt, Pastor of St. Brigid Church, as Celebrant.
Interment will be in St. Brigid Cemetery.
