Warren R. Phillips, 74, of Erie and formerly of Meadville, died Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Presque Isle Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Erie.
He was born November 22, 1939 in Arbovale, WV, a son of Roland and Violet Halterman Phillips. He had been married to Marian Chatley and subsequently married Tammy Waddell.
Warren was a 1960 graduate of Townville High School. He was employed at Channellock for 25 years. He was a former member of Meadville Eagles Aerie 429 and the Meadville Polish Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.
Survivors include his wife Tammy Phillips of Ohio; a daughter, Gloria Buchanan of Meadville; a son, David Phillips of Meadville; two brothers, Edgar Phillips and his wife Gail of Winter Haven, FL and Charles Phillips and his wife Jeanne of Cochranton; a step-brother, Harley Phillips of Florida; two grandchildren, Amy Buchanan and David Phillips, Jr.; three great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Lorelei, and Vincent; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Theola Phillips; two sons, Kenneth and Kevin Phillips; two grandsons, Dominic Phillips and William Buchanan; and a brother, Wayne Phillips.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville where the funeral and committal service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dave Brumagin officiating.
Interment will be in Peters Cemetery, Canal Township, Venango County.
