Wendell L. (Windy) Myers, 68, of Emlenton, PA and former longtime resident of Meadville, died Wednesday, October 28, 1998 at the Crawford County Care Center following a year long illness. He was born in Cowansville, July 23, 1930, a son of Joseph C. and Effie M. (Case) Myers. He was a heavy equipment operator and had previously worked at Meadville Malleable Iron Co. and for A. D. McNamara. He attended Parker Public Schools, was a former East Mead Township Supervisor and was a veteran of US Army serving in Korea. He was a member of Parker VFW Post 7073 and Foxburg American Legion Post 0636. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and his family. He was also of the protestant faith. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Debra) Stallard of Blooming Valley; a son, Steven C. Myers of Conneaut Lake; three sisters, Mrs. M. A. (Tressa) Hancox, Mable Smith and Mrs. Ronald W. (JoAnn) Lippert, Sr., all of Meadville; three brothers, Joseph R. Myers (Polly) of Clarks Mills, Clyde W. Myers (Bernie) of Linesville and Daniel T. Myers (Elaine) of TN; four grandchildren, Shawn and Joshua Rhoades and Zachery and Taylor Myers and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert J. Myers and a sister, Delores (Faye) Cox. Services were held at Waid Funeral Home. Interment was in Greendale Cemetery. Services Past Services
