Whitman Bartley Page

November 17, 1880 — January 1, 1753

Whitman Bartley Page, passed away at his home in Meadville, Monday morning.  He was the youngest child of the late Lemon and Gennette Page, and was born at Porters Corners, Greenwood Township, where he spent most of his life until coming to Meadville several years ago.  Mr. Page was graduated from the Conneaut Lake High School and the Slippery Rock State Normal School; also had some training at Fredonia and Grove City Colleges.

He had been a successful teacher for many years in this section, and will be sadly missed and mourned by a wide circle of friends.  He had taught in the school in Fredericksburg, Vernon Township, the past four years, and was to have taught there during the school term now opening.

Mr. Page was a member of the First M. E. Church and the Live Wire Class of the Sunday School.  He was also a member of Crawford Lodge No. 734, IOOF.

He is survived by his wife, Nina Crawford Page, with whom he was united in marriage May 16 last; one sister, Mrs. A. J. McQuiston of Atlantic; three nieces and three nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Porters Corners Cemetery.
