William A. Bode

William A. Bode, 66, of Meadville, died Friday, April 27, 1990, at Meadville Medical Center following a sudden illness.

He was born in Pittsburgh, April 16, 1924, a son of Robert and Beatrice Markham Bode.  He married Dorothea Prall.  She preceded him in death.  He subsequently married Mildred Conrad December 29, 1973.  She survives.

He had retired from his position at Bob's TV and had been working part-time at the Country Fair Store on Washington Street.

He was a US Navy veteran of WWII, serving in the South Pacific.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include twin sons, William and Robert Bode of Meadville; a daughter, Mrs. Walter (Jacqueline) Olsen of Houston, TX; a step-son, Gary Conrad of Meadville; two step-daughters, Debra Conrad of Meadville and Mrs. Jonathan (Cathleen) Tweed of Gainesville, FL; six grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Wells.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
