William A. Bode, Iii

William A. Bode, III, 65, of Meadville, passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 12, 2013 at Meadville Medical Center.

He was born January 21, 1948 in Meadville, a son of William A. and Dorothea Prall Bode.  He married Brenda Barker July 23, 1966.

Bill was a 1965 graduate of Townville High School.  He worked as a tool maker for 48 years for Keystone Precision.  He was an avid bowler, participating in the Tool Room League at Plaza Lanes as well as an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians fan.  He enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, and his garden.  He especially loved the time spent with his family and his four granddaughters.

Survivors, in addition to his loving wife Brenda, include two daughters, Bridgette Yoder and her husband Thomas of Meadville and Brandy Mitcham and her husband Keith of Meadville; four granddaughters, Kenniston Yoder, Madison Mitcham, Paige Yoder, and Sydney Mitcham; his twin brother, Robert Bode and his wife Verna of Meadville; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Brooke Leigh Bode and a sister, Jacqueline Olsen.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

The funeral service will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Johnathan P. Schmolt, Pastor of St. Brigid Church, officiating.

Interment will be in St. Brigid Cemetery.
