William A. Krupa

July 3, 1925 — October 5, 2000

William A. Krupa, 75, of Conneaut Lake, died Thursday, October 5, 2000 at Meadville Medical Center.

He was born July 3, 1925 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Andrew and Hilda Werger Krupa.  He married Elisabeth Lenkiewicz February 15, 1947 and she preceded him in death September 30, 1976.  He subsequently married Grace Dunlap Kenna September 9, 1977 and she survives.

He retired in 1990 following 40 years of work as a union construction worker with local #373, Pittsburgh.  He was a veteran of the US Navy having served in WWII aboard the USS Reinhart.  He was an active member of Conneaut Lake Park VFD.  He was a member of the Croation Club, Pittsburgh, Cambridge Springs American Legion Post #381 and former member of the Lakeland Grange.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include four children, William Krupa, Jr. (Linda) of Johnston, Carol Kenna (Jack) of Conneaut Lake, Kenneth Krupa (Marcy) of Pittsburgh and Susan Keller (Kevin) of Pittsburgh; a sister, Louella Smith of Harmony; nine grandchildren, Lisa Hirth, Jack Kenna, Jr., Diane Doyen, Darla Jackson, Kenneth Krupa, Jr. Christine Bacowski, Cathy Krupa, Shawn Keller and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his first wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Krupa.

Services were held at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home.

Interment was in Nrothside Catholic Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
