William A. Wright, 60 of Slippery Rock, passed away on June 18, 2018 at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler after his battle with cancer. William was born in Grove City on April 27, 1958 to the late Kenneth A. Wright and Ida Mae Boylan, she survives. William was a graduate of Lakeview High School and worked for many years as a carpenter, most recently for Montgomery Block Works in Harrisville. He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. He loved his children and grandchildren dearly and loved to help anyone anytime he could. William was a member of the Lakeview United Methodist Church. In addition to his mother, William is survived by his children, Krystal Wright of Grove City, David Wright and companion Suzy Kopp of Belle Vernon, PA, and Joshua Wright of Slippery Rock, grandchildren Kelsey, Kylee, and Evan, siblings Thomas Wright and wife Tamie of Sandy Lake, Kathryn Hoffman and husband Randy of Mercer, Steven Wright and wife Debbie of Stoneboro, and Cynthia Brown and husband James of Stoneboro, as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Black Funeral Home, 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro, where family and friends are welcome from 2-4 & 6-8 on Wednesday, June 20. A funeral service will be held at the Lakeview United Methodist Church, 1472 School Road, Sandy Lake, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 21. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
