William Alzinger

April 5, 1897 — May 22, 1958

William Alzinger, 91, of South Morgan Street, died May 22, 1958 at Spencer Hospital after an illness of 10 days.

He was born in Meadville April 5, 1867, a son of Francis Xavier and Catherine Overmoyer Alzinger.

He was married to the former Elizabeth J. Lasher April 27, 1892.  She died November 4, 1952.

A retired carpenter, he worked with various contractors in Crawford County but mainly with the late Charles Miller Building Contractor.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Meadville, Lodge 225, IOOF, Franklin, for more than 60 years.

Survivors include two sons, Frank at home and Harry of Baton Rogue, LA; a brother, Charles Alzinger of Meadville; a grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home with Rev. William A. Smith, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Meadville, officiating.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
