William B. Steen

William B. Steen, 84, of Meadville, died Thursday evening, September 5, 1974, at City Hospital after an illness of several months.  He had been hospitalized two weeks.

He was born at West Newton on April 27, 1890, a son of Harry and Sylvia Steen.  On January 15, 1915, he married Carrie May Hause who died in 1971.  He retired in 1955 as wreckmaster for the Erie Lackawanna Railway Co.  He was a member of First Baptist Church and was past master of Masonic Lodge 408.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. David G. (Bernice) Snodgrass of Meadville; two granddaughters, Mrs. David (Carol) Cease of Meadville and Mrs. Dominic (Kathleen) Marendo of Erie and three great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
