William J. “Billy” Sloss, 49 of Sandy Lake, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2019. Billy was born in Grove City on August 7, 1969 to William Lee Sloss and Joan Elaine Wareham Freeland. He proudly served his Country in the United States Marine Corps. He was currently employed at Smucker Dog Food Company in Meadville as a machine operator. Billy was very proud of his military service and was a previous member of the American Legion. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors. He adored his dogs and would treat them like his children. Billy is survived by his father, William “Bill” Sloss and wife Colleen of Clarence, PA, mother Joan Freeland of Sandy Lake, brother Raymond “Alex” Sloss and wife Shelley of Chester, VA, nieces and nephews Sabrina Goldstein and husband David, Kalab Sloss, Shane Beacham and wife Megan, Gracie Beacham, Kylee Beacham, and Cindee Carter and husband Logan, Step-sister Nicole Raineri and Fiance Ed Burnhan, as well as his beloved dogs. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Homes, Stoneboro & Sandy Lake. There will be no public services as per Billy’s request.
