William D. Beatty

William D. Beatty, 85, Hertitage Manor, Plano, TX, formerly of Meadville, died Saturday, July 2, 1988, at Hertitage Manor.

Mr. Beatty was born September 23, 1902, a son of Arthur and Mary Keim Beatty.  He married Twila Ruth Marshall in 1928.  She preceded him in death in 1941.  He subsequently married Sara Cox, August 12, 1942.  She preceded him in death April 27, 1984.

Mr. Beatty retired as general foreman for Avtex in 1967 after 34 years of service.  He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Meadville and the Avtex Foreman's Club.

Survivors include a son, William A. Beatty of Plano, TX; one brother, Arthur Beatty of Meadville; and two grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one brother, Edward and a sister, Anna Frey.

Services were held at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Delaware Cemetery.
