William E. Price

William E. Price 80, of Conneaut Lake, died at home, Thursday, October 10, 2013.  He was born in McMechen, WV February 5, 1933 a son of William and Helen Lucas Price.  He married Elizabeth “Liz” Burgess in August 1959.

He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Air Force.  He worked  as an inspector for Hartford Steam Boiler Insurance and Inspection (now a part of AIG) for 30 years, retiring in 1993.  He was a lifetime member of Linesville VFW Post #7842 and he enjoyed woodworking (making wooden toys) and working in his yard and keeping his house in top shape.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, Elizabeth of 54 years, include: three sons, William Price of Warren, OH, Douglas Price and his wife Diane of Canfield, OH and Michael Price and his wife Shelly of Mercer, PA; three grandchildren, Ashley Price, Drew Price and Colton Price; a step-granddaughter, Cindy Bishop and two brothers, James Price of Benwood, WV and Robert Price and his wife Rose Mary of Benwood, WV.

The memorial service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, Inc., 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake with the Rev. Dave Brumagin, Assoc. Pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to The Samaritans Holy Ground Thrift Shop (at Our Lady Queen of the Americas Church), P.O. Box 110, Conneaut Lake, PA 16316.
