William J. Fox, 85, died early Sunday at his home on Mercer Pike, Union Township, after a short illness.
Retired for several years, the well-known area farmer spent his entire life on the farm where he was born. He was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church.
He was a son of the late John and Barbara Frantzman Fox. He wife, the former Emma Feldmiller, died in 1946.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Kenfield K. Lane of Meadville and two sons, Frederick J. of New Castle and Theodore W. of Union Township.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
