William G. Lawrence

William G. Lawrence, 84, of Meadville, died Friday, February 27, 1998 at Grandview Advanced Health Services of Oil City following a period of declining health.

He was born December 24, 1913 in Kent, OH, a son of the late George and Julia Metz Lawrence.  He married Lucille Hazen October 10, 1935.  She preceded him in death November 14, 1994.

Mr. Lawrence retired in 1979 as a production worker at Talon following 40 years of service.  He especially enjoyed being outdoors.

Survivors include one daughter, Constance Lou Miller of Titusville; a son, Robert W. Lawrence of Endicott, NY; five grandchildren, Daniel Curt Miller, Chad Lawrence Miller, Jared Reed Lawrence, Meredith Beth Lawrence and Sarah Lawrence; and three great-grandchildren, Chad Matthew Miller, Crayton Curt Miller and William Scott Miller.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Julia Bowlen and three brothers, Andrew, John and George Lawrence.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
