William G. Peterman, Jr., 81, of Conneautville, passed away at Meadville Medical Center on Thursday, August 22, 2024.
He was born in Guys Mills on June 11, 1943, son of William G. and Ava (Miller) Peterman. On August 20, 1977, Bill married the former June Cowden; she survives.
Bill was a 1961 graduate of Cambridge Springs High School. He proudly served his Country in the United States Air Force and was in the Vietnam War. Bill was employed as a machinist at ABEX for 20 years and was a correction officer at Cambridge Springs prison for 11 years until his retirement.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and traveling. Bill was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife of 47 years he is survived by, two sisters, Betty Hodge of Jackson Summit, PA and Rachel Barr and her husband Rick of Meadville; one brother David Peterman and his wife Linda of Conneautville; three children, Candice Boyer of Meadville, Rebecca Crow of Centerville, and Chris Peterman and wife Melanie of Conneautville; two step-children, 16 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, L.G. Peterman; two sisters, Dorothy Byham and Ava Peterman and a son Kenneth Butler.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. 581 CHESTNUT ST, MEADVILLLE. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
