William H. Cutshall

William H. Cutshall, 86, of Guys Mills, died Wednesday, February 8, 1984, at Spencer Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born at Fairfield Township, May 23, 1897, a son of Ira B. and Mary Elizabeth Heath Cutshall.

Mr. Cutshall married Hazel G. Oakes October 26, 1926, who preceded him in death December 22, 1975.  He had worked as an inspector in the Spinning Department.  A member of the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, he is a former member of Mt. Hope and Kiser-Mead Granges and the Erie-Crawford County State Police.  He was caretaker and had served on the board of directors of the Mt. Hope Cemetery for many years.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Francis M. (Joanne) Burchard of Mt. Hope; a son Russell O. Cutshall of Hammonsport, NY; a sister, Mrs. Karl (Virginia) Gilbert of Guys Mills; two brothers, C. Ellsworth Cutshall of Meadville and J. Arden Cutshall of Cochranton; many nieces and nephews; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
