William H. Perfett

William H. Perfett, 81, of Conneaut Lake died Sunday, July 11, 2010 at St. Paul Homes, Greenville, PA.

He was born in Sharpsville, November 3, 1928 a son of Anthony F. and Lucille Williams Perfett.  He married Doris Elder in 1951 and she survives.

He was self-employed all his life.  He owned and operated at various times Perfett Construction in Sharpsville, Perfett Home and Garden Center in Hermitage and the Stable Pit & Pub and Cow Shed Restaurant in Conneaut Lake which he had for 33 years.

He was a 1946 graduate of Sharpsville High School, where he played basketball, baseball and football.  He was a 1950 graduate of St. Francis University in Loretto, PA where he played basketball and baseball.  He was a member of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Roman Catholic Church, Conneaut Lake.  He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Army.  He was also an avid New York Yankee baseball fan and Notre Dame football fan.

Survivors, in addition to his wife Doris of 59 years, include: three sons, David Perfett and his wife Cynthia of Conneaut Lake, Francis Perfett and his wife Sherri of Moon Twp., PA and William M. Perfett and his wife Pamela of Mars, PA; a daughter, Mary Beth Lemieux of Toledo, OH; a sister, Rose Hattrup of Franklin Park, PA; a brother, Dr. Alfred Perfett of Sharpsville; thirteen grandchildren, Jason Hess, Ashley Wakefield, Amy Perfett, David Perfett, Christopher Lemieux, Timothy Lemieux, Jacqueline Lemieux, Samantha Lemieux, Adam Perfett, Ramie Perfett, Jesse Perfett, Jack Perfett and James Perfett; a great granddaughter, Maelen Hess and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Hess; two brothers, Michael Perfett and Raymond Perfett and two sisters, Marie Knight and Dorothy Toth.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, Inc., 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of the Americas Church, 155 S. Ninth Street, Conneaut Lake with Fr. Steve Anderson, celebrant.

Interment will be in Our Lady Queen of the Americas Cemetery.
