William H. Robbins

January 14, 1899 — November 6, 1965

William H. Robbins, 66, of Meadville, died suddenly at Spencer Hospital Saturday, November 6, 1965.

Mr. Robbins was born in North Braddock on January 14, 1899, to William H. and Ida Harrison Robbins.  He married Lucille McElroy on May 23, 1928.

Mr. Robbins came to Meadville in 1946 as a plant supervisor for Westinghouse Corp., where he was employed for 35 years.  He remained at Westinghouse until the company left Meadville at which time he took early retirement.

He was affiliated with the Methodist Church.

Mr. Robbins was a member of the Westinghouse Clerks Assn. and the Westinghouse Foremen's Assn.  He was a member of Braddock's Field Masonic Lodge 510, Scottish Rite Bodies at Pittsburgh and a life member of Syria Shrine Temple at Pittsburgh.

Survivors, in addition to his widow, include a daughter, Mrs. David (Jane) Cribbs of Conneaut Lake; and a son, William of Meadville; a sister, Dorothy Thornburg of North Braddock; four brothers, Idris and Ralph of North Braddock, Sidney of Homestead Park and Harry of Cleveland and three grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
