William J. Paris, Jr., 91, of Conneaut Lake, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024.
He was born October 10, 1932, in Homestead, PA, a son of William J. Paris, Sr. and Anna Johnstone Paris. He married his best friend’s little sister Janet Lee Sloan February 21, 1959, and she preceded him in death October 30, 2005.
Bill was a 1951 graduate of Taylor Allderdice High School, where he excelled in mischief. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Navy from 1953-1957. He circled the world several times and was proud of his time in the Navy.
Bill was employed as a U.S. Steel worker for Continental Can Company and later on worked with his wife Janet for Cutter’s Wholesale in Meadville.
Survivors include a son, BiLLy Paris (Gina) of Conneaut Lake; a daughter, Jami Jo Morinville (Joseph) of Imperial, PA; and four grandchildren, Charlie Paris, Riley Paris, Dr. C.J. Predix (Jarrett), and Paris Morinville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and a grandson, Brady Paris.
What BiLLy and Jami want everyone to know is what a truly great father and husband he was. He provided the absolute happiest childhood possible for us, constantly filled with fun, adventure, and love.
Calling hours will be Monday, February 12th from 12-2 p.m. at WAID-COLEMAN FUNERAL HOME, 12422 CONNEAUT LAKE RD, CONNEAUT LAKE where a celebration of Bill’s life will follow at 2:00 p.m.
Interment will be in Our Lady Queen of the Americas Cemetery with military honors provided by VFW Post 2006.
