William J. Price

William J. Price, 63, of Conneaut Lake, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023.

He was born December 29, 1959, in Moundsville, WV, the son of William E. and Elizabeth Burgess Price.

Bill was a 1978 graduate of Conneaut Lake High School and a graduate of Edinboro University with a bachelor’s degree in education.  He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving from 1983 to 1988 as a Farsi/Persian linguist.

Bill worked as Director of Operations and Underwriting for AIG in Cleveland. He enjoyed golfing and, more recently, was a member of the Conneaut Lake Garden Club. He loved to take care of the yard at home, growing different flowers and tending to a small vegetable garden in the summers. In his last years, outside of gardening and his family, he found happiness as a cyclist - coasting around Conneaut Lake, learning to build and take care of his bicycle, which gave him great joy.

He will be dearly missed by his two children, Ashley Price of Pittsburgh and Andrew Price (Whitney) of Minneapolis, MN. He was beloved “Papi” to three grandchildren, Charlie, Emma, and Saylor. He is also survived by his mother, Elizabeth Price of Conneaut Lake; two brothers, Douglas Price (Diane) of Canfield, OH, and Michael Price (Shelly) of Mercer; one niece, Cindy; one nephew, Colton; and treasured long-time friends, Nancy Osborne and Beth Pandrock MacFate.

He was preceded in death by his father, William E. Price.
