William M. Simpson, 59, of Conneaut Lake, died Wednesday, September 05, 2012 at the Meadville Medical Center.
He was born February 4, 1953 in Meadville a son of William and Thelma Gehr Simpson.
He grew up in the Linesville area and attended Linesville High School. He worked briefly for PennDot, for many years at Conneaut Lake Park and most recently for Chilson’s Home Furnishings in Conneaut Lake. He enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley, Johnny Cash music and his guitars.
He is survived by his long-time companion and fiancée, Tina Lippert of Conneaut Lake; four sons, William Simpson and his wife Tammy of Polk, Jerry Young and his wife Debbie of Edgewater, FL, Samuel Young of Erie and Johnny Woolheater III of Conneaut Lake; two daughters, Beth Stahlman of Meadville and April Young of Erie; a brother, Donald Gehr of Linesville; three grandchildren, Marshal Simpson, Sarah Young and Haley Fritz, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Marshall and Sarah Gehr.
Calling hours will be Saturday from 1-4 p.m. at the Waid Coleman Funeral Home, Inc., 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake. The funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dave Brumagin, officiating.
