William P. Goodman, 74, of Meadville died unexpectedly, Monday, February 13, 2012 at the Meadville Medical Center.
He was born May 24, 1937 in Meadville a son of Paul and Virginia Marie Smith Goodman. He married Ruth Ann Hargenrader October 31, 1968 and she survives.
He was a graduate of Randolph East Mead High School. He worked for Lukjan Supply and Manufacturing of Erie and previously worked at R.E. Michel Co., the former Dilco Inc. and Walker Co., all of Meadville. He was a life-long member of Wayland Baptist Church. He enjoyed farming, camping, hunting, spending time with his grandchildren and was an avid lover of John Deere tractors.
Survivors, in addition to his wife Ruth Ann of 43 years, include: three daughters, Kimberly Goodman of Meadville and her daughter Erin, Jody Gionti and her husband Joseph of Willoughby, OH and their children, Gianna, Vincent and Nikolai and Janet Hood and her husband Danny of Meadville and their children, Kaylee (and her fiancée Ryan and their two children, Brayden and Gerald), Jimmy, Dalton, Skyler and Payton; two sisters, Joanne Smith and her husband Harrington of Girard and Marlene Hollabaugh and her husband William of Meadville and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville and Friday from 10:30-11 a.m. at Wayland Baptist Church, 11603 S. Wayland Road, Meadville.
The funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Wayland Baptist Church, 11603 S. Wayland Road, Meadville with Rev. Harlan Nefstead, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
