William Wallace Scott, III

William Wallace Scott, III, age 71 of Meadville passed away Sunday, December 29, 2024, at his residence.

He was born in Buffalo, NY on June 24, 1953, a son of William and Mary Jane (Parmentier) Scott. Bill married the former Diane M. Carges in May 2003.

Bill was a 1971 graduate of Pioneer High School and a 1973 graduate of College of Santa Fe. Bill was a radiation control tech for Westinghouse for 30 years. He enjoyed trap shooting, camping, and the Boy Scouts. Bill was a proud member of the Meadville Elks Lodge #219, NM Elks Lodge #1558. He was also a Scout Master and on the board of directors in Delevan, NY and a volunteer firefighter and state certified EMT for NY state.

He is survived by his wife Diane of 21 years, two children, Steffanie J. Scott of Titusville, FL., and James (Nicole) Scott of Elma, NY. Two grandchildren; Jacob and Matthew Scott of Elma, NY. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday 1-2-2025 at 4:00 P.M. in ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. 581 CHESTNUT ST. MEADVILLE. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home from 2:00 P.M. until the time of service.

A graveside service for family will be held on Friday 1-3-2025 at 2:00 P.M. in White Haven Memorial Park in Pittsford, NY.
