Willis L. Foulk

Willis L. Foulk, 69, of Frenchtown Road, Guys Mills died Sunday, November 6, 2005 at Meadville Medical Center.

He was born in Guys Mills June 5, 1936 a son of the late Carl C. and Mabel Fleek Foulk.  He married Freida Mae Jackard June 8, 1957 at St. Hippolyte Roman Catholic Church and she preceded him in death December 26, 1988.

He worked for over 40 years for the A.D. McNamara Dairy Farm operating the bulldozer and backhoe which he dearly loved.  He previously worked for Frank W. Childs Garage in Guys Mills, Wayne Palm Saw Mill in Guys Mills, Berringer Saw Mill in Guys Mills and did plastering work for James Spanogle.

He attended Randolph East Mead High School and served as an East Mead Twp. Supervisor.  As a child he attended the Methodist Church in Guys Mills and later joined St. Hippolyte Roman Catholic Church.  He was a member of East Mead Fire Hall and loved hunting and fishing.

Survivors, include: two sons, Jack L. Foulk of Cochranton and Michael L. Foulk and his wife Julie of Guys Mills; two grandchildren, Amanda Susan Foulk and Matthew David Foulk both of Guys Mills; four sisters, Carolina Davenport of Meadville; Betty Nelson and her husband Playford of Townville; Dorothy McNulty of Lexington, KY; and Christa Shank and her husband Jack of Guys Mills; one brother, Bernard Foulk and his wife Shirley of Guys Mills; one aunt, Twila Foulk Carless of Conneaut Lake; one sister-in-law, Shirley Foulk of West Springfield; many nieces and nephews and his constant companion, his dog “Lady”, a Jack Russell Terrier.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Mae Foulk and a nephew whom he helped raise, Russell A. Foulk

Calling hours are today (Tuesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville with a Scripture Prayer Service at 3:45 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Hippolyte Roman Catholic Church, Frenchtown with the Rev. B. LeMonte Sayers as Celebrant.

Burial will be in St. Hippolyte Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials may be made to St. Hippolyte Roman Catholic Church, 26012 N. Frenchtown Road, Guys Mills, PA 16327 or East Mead Vol. Fire Dept., c/o LeAnn Coston, 11251 S. Wayland Road, Meadville, PA 16335.
