Wilma L. Parsons

Wilma L. Parsons, 65, of Meadville, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2013 at UPMC Hamot, Erie.

She was born May 11, 1948 in Roaring Springs, a daughter of William H. and Betty J. Feathers Brown.  She married George Patrick Parsons June 27, 1970.

Wilma attended Erie Tech Memorial High School.  A homemaker, Wilma had worked in housekeeping at Spencer Hospital and Meadville City Hospital.

A woman of strong faith, she was a member of New Beginnings Church of God and was an avid reader of her bible.

Wilma enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and cooking, loved to help people and encourage them through the Lord Jesus Christ, but especially loved her family and the time spent with them.

Survivors, in addition to her loving husband Pat of 43 years, include three daughters, Tina Kaste and her husband Scott, Darlene West, and Sue Ann Parsons, all of Meadville; her mother, Betty Brown of Erie; a brother, Samuel Brown and his wife Renee of Erie; five grandchildren, Samantha Kaste, Bradie Parsons, Sierra Parsons, Dane Parsons, and Haylie West; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville immediately followed by a celebration of life dinner at New Beginnings Church of God, Meadville.
