Wilmette J. Paddock, 94 of Jackson Center, passed away on August 12, 2019 at Butler Memorial Hospital. Wilmette was born on May 2, 1925 in Coolspring Township to the late Michael J. and Minnie F. Stubbs King. She was a graduate of Fredonia-Delaware High School and went on to work at Westinghouse during WWII. She also worked as a mail carrier, and retired from Redman’s Market in Mercer. Wilmette was married to her beloved husband, Wallace Paul Paddock on March 30, 1944, he preceded her in death in August 1, 1998. Wilmette was a member of the Jackson Center Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder and on many committees. She was also active in the Red Hat Ladies, and enjoyed bowling and line dancing. Wilmette is survived by her children, David Paddock and wife Eileen of Grove City, and Carol Stevens and husband Donald, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, sister Ila Walker, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Wilmette was preceded in death by grandsons Benjamin Paddock and Kristopher Wescott, siblings John, Philip, Alfred, Milton, Helen, Ellen, Elizabeth, Florence, and Dorothy, and a special friend, William Grasinger. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Homes of Stoneboro & Sandy Lake. There will be no public services as per Wilmette’s wishes.
