Wilson O. Hunt

Wilson O. Hunt, 81, of Meadville, died Sunday, February 12, 1989, at Meadville Medical Center following a six-week illness.

Mr. Hunt was born in Spartansburg, April 4, 1907, a son of Willis and Josephine Slater Hunt.  He married Amanda M. Lemke on November 28, 1945.  She preceded him in death on February 28, 1983.

He retired from the former Erie Railroad as a crossing watchman after 31 years of service.

Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Abbott of Meadville; two sons, William Hunt of Meadville and Robert Hunt of San Diego, CA; a brother, Clarence Hunt of Jamestown, NY; two half brother, Marion LaBarte of Jamestown, NY and John LaBarte of California; thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Herbert Hunt and a grandson.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
