Winton L. Flaugh

Winton L. Flaugh, 97, of Guys Mills, died at home Sunday, July 21, 2013.

He was born September 4, 1915 in Rockdale Twp. a son of Carl and Mina Perkins Flaugh.  He married Gladys Woodcock February 22, 1947 and she preceded him in death May 2, 1980.

He retired from American Viscose Corp. in 1980 after 35 years of service.  He was a member of the United Evangelical Free Church of Guys Mills.  He enjoyed spending his winters at the Canoe Creek Campground in St. Cloud, FL.  He also enjoyed riding his bike.  He would ride about 4-5 miles daily until he was about 90 years old and then he switched to his stationary bike indoors.

He is survived by two daughters, Judy Heim and her husband Tom of Coraopolis and Joan Flaugh of Strongsville, OH; two sons, Jack Flaugh and his wife Cindy of Meadville and John Flaugh and his companion Debra Ketler of Meadville; three grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Willard, Kenneth and Max Flaugh and two sisters, Phyllis Thomas and his twin sister, Winona Bradley.

A private family graveside service will be held in Union Cemetery Guys Mills with the Rev. David Coddington, Pastor of the United Evangelical Free Church of Guys Mills, officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.
