Z. Marian Jordan

Z. Marian Jordan, 93 of Mercer, passed away on September 19, 2018 at Avalon Springs Nursing Home in Mercer. Marian was born in Sandy Lake on April 21, 1925 to the late Clyde T. and Isabelle Gordon Hillman. She was a 1944 graduate of Sandy Lake High School and went on to drive school bus for over 40 years for Watson’s and Garret’s. She also worked as a horticulturist at Nelson’s Flowers in Mercer and Kraynaks in Hermitage. She loved to garden and to be outdoors. She enjoyed taking care of the farm and always enjoyed picking apples and potatoes. She loved her years driving school bus and loved the children. She enjoyed baking and the constant pursuit of new knowledge and learning every day. She was also a member of Greenfield Presbyterian Church. Marian is survived by her daughters, Shirley Oster of Mercer and husband William of California, and Ronda Jordan-Reagle of Mercer, grandchildren Jim Reagle and wife Shawn of Greenville, Scott Reagle and wife Traci of Mercer, Debbie Schreiber and husband Mark of Hadley, Amy Pfaff and companion Jason Armour of New Wilmington, and Christopher Oster of California, great-grandchildren Ryan, Cody, and Brooke, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by the father of her children Leroy E. Jordan, daughter Sarah “Sally” Pfaff, great-grandson Bryce Schreiber, and siblings Virginia Myers, Leonard Hillman, Clifford Hillman, and Dorothy Hillman. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Homes, Stoneboro & Sandy Lake. Funeral Services will be private as per Marian’s wishes. Interment will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery.
