Zelma Morea Vaughn

October 10, 1899 — January 2, 1986

Zelma Morea Vaughn, 86, a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community since August 1984, formerly of Hadley and Meadville, died Thursday, January 2, 1986, at Wesbury United Methodist Community following an extended illness.

Mrs. Vaughn was born in Deer Creek Township, Mercer County, October 10, 1899, a daughter of William and Flora Balzor Tubbs.  She married Lee L. Vaughn, November 16, 1916.  He preceded her in death, April 28, 1980.  She was a housewife and a member of Stone United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a step-son, Ralph L. Vaughn of Sandy Lake, a step-daughter, Helen Miller of Meadville; five daughters, Mrs. Paul (Frances) Junk of Greenville, Mrs. Georgia Stanford of Atlanta, Mrs. Harry (Geraldine) Rathbun, Mrs. Jack (Florence) Walls and Mrs. Mary Lee McQuiston, all of Meadville; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
